Our Big Little Adventures: Elle Madison

Ellie beans is becoming active and very alert!

Pediatrician Update: Elle got the thumbs up this month and weighed in at almost 12 pounds and 23 inches in length. It also seems like she is exhibiting signs of early teething. Ek!

Praises This Month: We are so thankful that we were able to take Elle on her first plane trip to Texas! We have also been thankful for 'transitional hours' at her daycare to ease her into a new routine and surrounding. We are loving her little 'drool school' right now. Although, day one was rough on me. :)

Richard and I have been able to have a few dates too! And we also took Elle on a special brunch date prior to our Texas trip. She slept through the whole thing... so we soaked up the coffee and sitting still.

Fun Visitors: Mimi Anne left after the start of the New Year, but we weren't alone for long! Aunt Jamie and boyfriend Chase had a fun visit to NYC, followed by our dear friends - Kristi and Ben! Elle took her visitors all over the city, including to Brooklyn (baby's first trip outside of Manhattan)!

Other Memories: Elle has rolled from tummy to back at least 4X times (Jan 4 - first time!). Her 'tummy time' sessions have increased and she seems to not mind them as much. E is also VERY close from rolling back to tummy... and she has been scooting off her playmat while on her back. She has also started turning around in her sleep. On the move!

Also let it be known that on Jan. 8 she GROWLED at me. And then gave a little giggle two days later. Her sleep patterns continue to change, but we've gotten some solid nights of sleep this month... and while growth spurts are great, they are rough.

Mid-month, Elle found her lungs and started yelling when happy or angry, spitting when she is angry (yeah, not so much a fan of this), eating her hands and tossing Jerry and Hobbes for her thumb instead. Not always, but sometimes. She has also started to baby talk a little and coo. The cutest.
