Life lately.

The past few months have been filled with a visit from my mommonthly dinner clubnew routinesdifficult New York transitionsa trip to Texas, and busy work schedules.

We also searched high and low for a new apartment in the Upper East Side with the hopes of a closer walk to the train, direct sunlight and more space… all within our budget. We started to think it was hopeless when we toured this pink bathroom.

We experienced NYC's oldest irish pub in the East Village -  McSorley's Old Ale House

Per tradition, we hosted an Oscar's party… filled with Richard's hilarious themed prizes.

We celebrated exciting news with friends!

I finished my Certification in Foundations and Corporate Grantmaking from New York University

We moved into our new apartment and praised God for allowing all the pieces to fall in place and for the moving support we received from our friends.

I started a book study with a few friends. Our first read was Confessions of a Raging Perfectionist. Richard still meets weekly at Neil's - same time, table, waiter and breakfast.

The NFL draft meant a girl's night was in order. A great excuse for crepes and wine!

We celebrated birthdays with delicious italian food.

We continue to be amazed by the kids at Apostles, how quickly they grown and how funny the things are that come out of their mouths!

We moved friends from NYC to NJ and celebrated their purchase of a brownstone… and a backyard! We will without a doubt miss walking to Meghan and Scott's Midtown East apartment, but are so excited for their new brownstone adventure.

The warmer weather was welcomed with rooftop cookouts and new memories with great friends.

We have started saying goodbye to people in our Community Group as a new season of life is sweeping them away. A champagne and sugar celebration for Joy's wedding, graduation and move to Charlottesville. An exciting new chapter.

And we spent a day in Sunnyside, Queens exploring Trevor's favorite things before heading to Williamsburg for his band's album release party. Little does Trevor know, we plan to stalk him all the way to Standford Law School! He will be missed, for sure.

We enjoyed silly nights and deep talks filled with german outdoor beer gardens and homemade tex-mex.

We have soaked in Central Park on Sundays after church, where we fantasize about our futures together as friends.

We are so thankful for this city, this season of our lives and for the friends here that keep our lives in perspective.
