Brooklyn Botanic Garden

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden has been on my list for years! Now that the new Q line is open, we were able to hop on and head straight to Prospect Park which is connected to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens! 

Traveling around the city (or anywhere really) with a toddler, sometimes leads to abrupt changes of plans. Thus, when we learned that the BBG is free on most Saturdays from 10AM - NOON, we thought we'd give it a whirl! 

Our favorite part of the park was the children's area - Elle got to climb into "Big Bird's" nest! It was also fantastic for a toddler to run wild, smell tons of flowers and and look at the pretty fountains. 

This is definitely on our list for a return trip - perhaps in another season of the year!
