Merry Christmas. 2014.

This was a snow free Christmas. And that's totally fine since we hopped on a plane one week before the magical day to head down South to see family and friends. To kick-off the season, we went to our neighborhood's tree lighting and the McVittie's Annual Mulled Wine Xmas Party.

A little photo fun with these friends that make NYC so much fun!

And Richard and I were lucky enough to attend the Mayor's Christmas Cocktail Party at Gracie Mansion.

That arrival into Dallas sure is one I'll never forget. While in flight, one of our very best friends was rushed in for an emergency C-section here in NYC, and gave birth to a little Christmas miracle named Lucie at just 24 weeks and just under 2 pounds. This has been a Christmas filled with lots and lots of prayers for this very near and dear family to us.

Bouncin' around town.

Dallas was great, filled with family and friends... and our newest nephew - Luke! What a blessing to see so much family and celebrate Christmas together.

And it is always so good to catch-up with friends in Dallas, and oh so many babies! Each of these friends holds such a special place in our hearts... and knows way too much dirt on us from our younger years and memories made together. ;)

We snuck over to Downtown Dallas to see the new Klyde Warren Park, modeled after Bryant Park in NYC. Loved it!

We made it back to NYC for our pretty Christmas Eve service at Apostles Church.

We wanted to surprise our friends, Drea and Robby, the next night for Christmas dinner with some home cooking... we tracked down a favorite Christmas 3-layer jello from Robby's mom and Richard did his magic in the kitchen. We also made a Shrimp Cuban Casserole and my mom's traditional tortilla roll-ups.

Christmas morning was filled with so much excitement for these two furry ones. After a special treat in their stockings, they ran circles in their new bed.

And then slept... While 'A Christmas Story' looped three times.

We spent Christmas night with some of our NYC family, Hicksons and Paynes. Through this difficult time of prayer for little Lucie Hickson, we were able to relax a little and share some laughs with this dear group. We also got to meet Lucie in the hospital on Christmas Day! And little Luke Payne filled our Christmas night with baby giggles. He was sound asleep before the photo below.

And that's a wrap on this Christmas, stretched across Dallas and NYC. Fun find: This year, Tiffany's used doxies in their Christmas advertising!

Goodbye Christmas, Hello Short Hair.
