Final Trip to Texas in 2013. November.

Our final trip to Texas in 2013.

Traveling back to Texas is both exciting and exhausting… all in one. It is so challenging to see everyone… and for it to truly be quality time. But it is always worth it.

And we love Texas. The tex-mex, open spaces, warm weather, swimming pools, chick-fil-a, BBQ, memories, familiar streets, southern accents, and slower pace. And of course, the Dallas Cowboys. We love Texas because it will always have part of our hearts.

Oh Texas, we will see you again in 2014. When the newest member of our family arrives (still taking bets on if it will be a niece or nephew!). November flashback filled with family and friends… or should I say photo shoot?

What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life – to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories. – George Eliot

“You can kiss your family and friends good-bye and put miles between you, but at the same time you carry them with you in your heart, your mind, your stomach, because you do not just live in a world but a world lives in you.”

– Frederick Buechner

"Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learnt the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything." – Muhammad Ali

“To understand your parents’ love, you must raise children yourself.”

– Chinese proverb

“A mother’s love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no aw, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path.”

– Agatha Christie

“When everything goes to hell, the people who stand by you without flinching – they are your family. ” – Jim Butcher

To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; we must first set our hearts right. – Confucius
